"Halloween Cracker Jack
Old Penn Colony recipe"

Cook until dissolved, one cup of baking molasses two cups of sugar, three tablespoons of vinegar, then add small piece of real butter. Cook until it spins a thread or makes a brittle ball in cold water. Add a pinch of soda and pour over two gallons of popped corn.
