Feature Recipe August 2007 Apple-Strawberry-lettuce/spinach Salad |
Four hand fulls of freshly picked and cleaned lettuce and spinach, cut to shreds 2 cups chopped of unpeeled Granny Smith apples 1/2 cup sliced fresh strawberries 1/4 cup crumbled cooked bacon 3/4 cup vegetable oil 1/3 cup white vinegar 1 small onion, cut in small pieces 1/2 cup white sugar 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce 2 teaspoons salt Directions: In a large bowl mix the first five ingredients. In a small bowl mix thoroughly all dressing ingredients. Chill. Just before serving pour over salad and toss. |
