S.F. Heim Barn Pictures SF Heim Barn, built in 1894 in the traditional Pennsylvania Dutch style. The foundation was of limestone quarried locally, the large wooden beams in the framework were held together with wooden pegs. The main floor contained a central threshing floor flanked by hay mows and grain bins. One mow contained prairie hay for the horses stabled in the basement, and the other contained alfalfa hay for milk cows. The barn was torn down in 1993.
